Mass Donation Week!

As many of you may already know by reading the forums, a few of us grassroots supporters have decided to schedule a Mass Donation Week/Day in order to give the Senator and his campaign a much needed boost as far as funding goes as he begins his Libertarian run for the White House.

While there has been some chatter about donating to the Liberty Decides program, for this time, we will be donating directly to the Sentator's campaign, so that he will be able to use our money effectively now to secure the nomination. It is quite possible that another drive could be held for the Liberty Decides program in the near future.

This drive will be held April 15 (Fair Tax Day) to April 22 (Earth Day). While we encourage everyone to donate during the week, April 22 will be the big day, the Mass Donation Day.

If you have the ability to make YouTube videos, we urge you to do so. We want to do much more advertising than we did for the previous drives, and if we can get fellow supporters to make videos, we can spread the word to everyone. However, if you cannot make videos, we encourage you to tell all of your family, friends, and anyone who will listen. Go on the Gravel YouTube channel, post a comment. Go on the recent videos make by the campaign and supporters, make comments. Keep in mind, anything you can do goes a long way for the campaign.

I remember someone saying that there would be a counter on the front page of how much has been donated over the week.  Is this true?

I had said that. I had been in communication with our Web team, however; no one with Drupal knowledge is willing to do it, so it won't be done.

A few remarks

I registered with the Libertarian Party and sent a $50 donation to boost Gravel in the Liberty Decides program last weekend. Perhaps there is a misconception that I am discouraging people from donating directly to the campaign. Personally, I have matched my donations to the Liberty Decides program this period with my donations to the campaign. Since there is a donation week from 4/15-4/22 (Tax Day to Earth Day), I recommend a donation in the upcoming week directly to the campaign and a secondary donation to the Liberty Decides program to mark the end of the zeroth period (3/29-4/17) kicking off the 50-20 Plan. Donations to the campaign take precedence over the Liberty Decides program; however, I think Gravel supporters should at least consider making a single donation to the Libertarian Party in the near future. Remember it only takes 100 single donations of $50 to raise $5000.
