I like Gravel

I think Bob Barr is the better candidate for this election cycle. I hope LP members will keep an open mind.

I personally do agree with Gravel.

I've moderated quite a bit economically since I was active in the Libertarian Party from 1995-2002.

I do believe we should keep Social Security and should nationalize health insurance.

I do think we need an aggressive energy policy to move us off foreign oil and onto the hydrogen internal combustion engine and the hydrogen economy.

I like his support of the Fair Tax and of course his stance on all the social libertarian issues.

I welcome Bob Barr and Mike Gravel into the Libertarian Party. I like the diversity. It helps broaden the Libertarian Party more into a major party capable of winning national office. I hope they start a trend. I would like to see John Linder, Newt Gingrich, Bill Richardson, and others in the party. I think that even Mike Huckabee could be swayed. I would also like to see Ron Paul return to the party now that he has started the revolution.

Fox news debate

Great debate!!!!!! Mike sure put Mr. Root in his place!!!!! MIKE GRAVEL FOR PRESIDENT!!!!!

WOW, I woke up @ 4:00 This

WOW, I woke up @ 4:00 This morning to watch this...and it isn't until tomorrow morning!  I'm crazy.

Now, to get my FBN channel to work....

I won't vote for Barr

If the Libertarian Party nominates Barr, I won't vote for him.

I wouldn't even vote for him if Mike became his running mate, although I might do a double-take...

I'll vote for Nader, Obama or the Green Party candidate first.

When it comes down to it, I'll vote for whoever disagrees with Bush the most. Gravel is Bush's polar opposite. Barr is Obama's polar opposite.

The best thing for the Libertarian Party can do for itself is nominate Gravel and thus seriously and permanently broaden its base.

Unfortunately, what I think will happen is that the Libertarian Party will nominate Barr.  This will reinforce the status quo of Libertarians being right wing spoilers for the republicans. This may help elect the lesser of two evils (Obama over McCain) but it won't do much to upset the current two party dynamic...

explaining to do Mr Barr

Mr So Called Freedom Bob Barr has some serious explaining to do on his votes for the Iraq resolution which has lead to the deaths of thousands of US soldiers, his votes for the Patriot Act, Homeland Security, Auth of Military Force Act, and the Anti Terrorism Bill. Bills which have taken away our freedoms. Plus his stances supporting the drug wars for which the Libertarians spent all efforts and not to mention over $50,000 to make sure he would lose his congressional seat in GA. Now someone explain to me this love that right wing libertarians have for this man. I dont see any libertarianism here. As far as I can see, Bob Barr is a Nazi. I have sent the Senator information on Barr to call him out on his prior positions. Hopefully he will use it.

Nazi?

So, Bob Barr is a Nazi pretending to be a Libertarian?  For what?  The glory of being the Libertarian presidential candidate?  He seems genuine to me.  Perhaps a formerly right-wing Republican is the best person to present the libertarian alternative to the American people.

Please do not use such broad

Please do not use such broad terms as "right wing libertarians".

Many libertarians do not like Bob Barr, including me.

- Hoping for a fair and honest debate. Go Gravel!

(Why didn't Ruwart or Kubby recieve an invintation?)

Don't forget the Democratic Debates!

I hope Mike doesn't forget to mention the absence of the other candidates, and how good ideas can come from ordinary citizens.  The media needs to stop playing king-maker!  If we have enough time for Survivor and American Idol, why can't we spare a few hours once every four years to hear some fresh ideas?

(Someone fact-check first whether or not the others were invited though!)
